Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Cllr Dave Smithson joined local residents
and volunteers at Court Farm pond in Halewood to help clean up the the
area.
The clean up was organsied by HELP and supported by Friends of Halewood Ponds and the Halewod Environmental Task Team, under the direction of Tom Eccles. Tom and his team were helped by workers from Halewood's Jaguar plant during the week who shifted three skips of rubbish. A further skip full of rubbish was moved by the volunteers before planting more flowers around the pond. "It was great to see local people giving up their time to help improve the local area for everyone,"said Dave Smithson. "Litter is a big problem and we must all take responsibility to help address this issue."
