The Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Wales and the Party's  Spokesman on Northern Ireland, Lembit Opik MP, recently visited Knowsley South Lib Dems as guest of honour at their annual Christmas Dinner.

Cllr Joe McGarry, Chair of Knowsley South Lib Dems, presented Lembit with a Prescot Town Council tie to mark the occasion of his visit and said: "We were delighted that Lembit was able to join us and very grateful to him that he was able to find time in his busy schedule to join us.

"Lembit's speech was very thought provoking and his common sense approach to politics gave us all much to consider as we prepare for the next round of local elections."
