| KNOWSLEY LIBERAL DEMOCRATS
WERE GIVEN A TIMELY ELECTION BOOST WITH A VISIT FROM MARTIN BORGES, CHAIRMAN
OF THE FREE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN THE RUN UP TO THIS YEAR'S LOCAL ELECTIONS.
Martin, from Knowsley's twin town of Moers in Germany, met Chris Davies MEP who is hoping to be re-elected to the European Parliament on June 10th and Lib Dem Leader Charles Kennedy MP during his visit. He also helped local campaigners with their election deliveries in Huyton and Halewood and even managed to fit in the annual Mayor making ceremony in Prescot during his short stay in the Borough. "I was very impressed with the amount of work being done by the Lib Dems, if this election is going to be won on determination to succeed and commitment to local communities then the Lib Dems are well ahead in the race from what In have seen," said Martin Borges. |
