Another Year of Lib Dem success in Prescot West December 2000
ONLY THE LIB DEMS CARE IN PRESCOT
MIKE SLAMS LABOUR IN PRESCOT
THE LIB DEMS CANDIDATE, MIKE WYNN, has launched a scathing attack on the Labour Party for failing to fight two Prescot Town Council by-elections.

Mike Wynn has been elected to Prescot Town Council for the North West ward and Jean Waring has gained Central ward for the Lib Dems, both unopposed when the Labour party could not be bothered to even field candidates.

Mike Wynn said: “The Labour party were too scared to fight the Town Council seats which only goes to prove they do not care about the people of Prescot if they are not prepared to fight to represent them.

"All they are interested in is strengthening their power base on Labour run Knowsley Council and the people of Prescot know only too well what that will mean for them.

“Local residents and communities in Prescot want a voice who will stand up for them and fight for their concerns.  The Lib Dems have consistently done that in Prescot and throughout Knowsley and I intend to do more of the same.

“Only by voting for me and the Lib Dems can Prescotians be assured that someone on Knowsley Council will be looking after their interests.  Vote Lib Dem on Jan 4th and win with Wynn!”

Liberal Democrat Councillors Ian Smith & Joe McGarry

Our local Surgery/Advice Centre takes place every Thursday (except the 4th Thursday in the month) at the C.A.B. Offices, Church Street, Prescot,
between 7pm and 8pm.

Speak to your local Borough Councillors Ian Smith & Joe McGarry about any council matter or problem.  No appointment needed.

The election in Prescot West is a two horse race between Mike Wynn, the Liberal Democrats candidate and Labour.  The Conservatives are a distant third and cannot win here.

LIB DEMS SET TO WIN

If you want to back a winner vote for Mike Wynn on January 4th.

GROT SPOTS
PRESCOT LIB DEMS COUNCILLORS ARE to tackle Knowsley Council on the terrible state of the wasteland around the Moss Street area that has been allowed to become a ‘grot spot’.

Rubbish has been left to accumulate without any though or consideration for the local residents who have asked your Lib Dems Councillors for their help.

Cllr Ian Smith said: “This ‘grot spot’ should be cleaned up as a matter of priority.  The Labour run Council are quick enough to take the credit for the developments in Prescot, but not so quick to clean up the rubbish that is left lying around.

“It is time the residents of Moss Street and Eaton Street were listened to by this Labour run Council and time this mess was sorted out.”

BLOCKED GRIDS

Lib Dems Councillors have taken action to sort out the blocked grids in various areas, e.g. Halsall Street, Eaton Street and Moss Street.

LIB DEMS EQUALS ACTION

At the request of local residents the problems have been reported by your Lib Dems to Knowsley Contract Services who have been asked to make this issue a matter of priority.
