Vandalism must be stamped out
PRESCOT LIBERAL DEMOCRATS are becoming increasingly concerned about the constant threat from unruly youths and the levels of vandalism and anti-social behaviour in and around the Parish Church and Eccleston Street shops.

Your local Lib Dem Councillors will be pressing both Knowsley Council and the Police to take swift and appropriate action to address this ongoing problem before it gets out of hand.

Lib Dem Leader Cllr Ian Smith said: “The introduction of CCTV cameras would provide a significant deterrent to mindless acts of vandalism, while a more regular Police presence would also help reduce the amount of unnecessary anti-social behaviour.

“It would help if the rear of the Parish Church was made secure at night and I am hoping to be able to instigate discussion with the Church and the Borough and Town Councils to see what can we do to protect the building from more damage.”

To report any acts of vandalism call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 or call Mark Harrison at Knowsley MBC on 0151 443 3099.
