MIKE WYNN has been chosen by Prescot Liberal Democrats to succeed Councillor Eric Byron, the former Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Mayor of Prescot, who sadly passed away at the beginning of October.

A by-election will be held on January 4th, 2001, when the voters of Prescot West have the opportunity to vote for Eric’s successor, Mike Wynn the Lib Dems candidate.

Mike is married to Frances, who is a Lib Dem Prescot Councillor.  They have a daughter, Sarah, and have lived in Hope Street, Prescot, for more than 25 years.

Mike has vowed to work hard on behalf of the people of Prescot.  He has tremendous admiration for the work and service Eric Byron gave to the Town.

TRIBUTE

Mike told a packed Lib Dems meeting: “Eric is a true inspiration to us all and we truly miss Eric, our very own ‘Mr Prescot’.

“But it is vital we carry on the great work Eric started, working hard for the people and communities of Prescot as Eric had done so successfully for so many years.”
